Welcome to Tunecrowd ("we", "our", or "us"). Tunecrowd is a social FM radio streaming application that allows users to discover stations, create live listening rooms, and connect with other music fans.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the app.

2 Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Display name chosen at registration
• Email address used to create your account
• Messages sent in live listening rooms
• Stations you mark as favourites

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device push notification token (to deliver in-app notifications)
• Social graph data: the users you follow and your followers
• Usage data such as rooms you join and stations you play

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect payment information, precise GPS location, contacts from your device, microphone or camera data, or any biometric information.

3 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your Tunecrowd account
• Enable you to create and join live listening rooms
• Display your profile to other users, including your display name, favourite stations, follower count, and following count
• Send you push notifications when someone you follow starts a live room
• Maintain and improve the functionality of the app
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service

4 How We Share Your Information

4.1 With Other Users

Tunecrowd is a social application. The following information is visible to other logged-in users:

• Your display name and avatar initial
• Your favourite stations list
• Your follower and following counts
• Messages you send inside live listening rooms
• Any live rooms you host

4.2 With Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore Database) — stores your account credentials and app data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Expo Notifications — your push token is used solely to deliver notifications from Tunecrowd to your device.
• Radio Browser API — a free, publicly available radio station directory. No personal data is shared with this service.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tunecrowd, our users, or others.

4.4 We Do Not Sell Your Data

5 Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Chat messages in live rooms are stored in Firestore and persist until the room is deleted by the host. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal profile data. Some data may remain in backup systems for a limited period thereafter.

6 Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including:

• Firebase Authentication for secure login
• Firestore Security Rules to restrict data access to authorised users only
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7 Children's Privacy

Tunecrowd is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated personal data
• Objection — object to certain uses of your data

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

9 Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications to inform you when someone you follow starts a live room. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings. Disabling notifications will not affect your ability to use the app.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
